The Why
I decided to start Treat Boutique Dublin August 2017 while on a little holiday. Myself and my husband had gone away for a few days while our little boy Gray who was 6 months old at the time was being minded by my mum.
Previous to this I had been working with my dad on a project but he died suddenly while on a business trip in China, he was only 56 and I was 6 months pregnant at the time with my parents first grandchild. After he died I didn’t know what I was going to do but I knew I couldn’t continue the business that we were doing together. I had been doing personalized treats for family and friends occasions on and off since 2012 and anytime I did an event everyone kept asking why it wasn’t a business.
So I registered the business name while on holiday, set up the email and the social media and went from there. I wanted to combine delicious sweet combinations with premium, personalized packaging to create must-have gifts for all ages and occasions. I am very lucky it took off the way it did and have had the privilege of making treats for so many families, special occasions and have had the opportunity to have worked with some very well known companies, famous faces and brands.
